FH Tools online verified with new versions of e107, PHP and MySQL
No new release just yet. Working on it, but real life takes time, specially during summer. However, with a new release of WAMP5 as well as for e107, it was time to take the current 0.0.1 version of FH Tools Online to the test with the new configuration
Everything went well, and that means that the new setup under which FH Tools Online will be validated is:

Quick Update
Summer has come to Sweden, and that means less time for code crunching. The release of version 0.0.2 is not far off and will include some minor updates regarding statistics that is missing in 0.0.1 as well as some other bug fixes and other minor goodies
More good news is that there are now one more person involved in the project. I have not checked with him yet, so I will not go public with his name etc. Even better news is that he is focusing on NHL based leagues and has already contributed with lots of functionality that I would never have thought of due to my focus on the fantasy based leagues. I am also in contact with one more person that has expressed a wish to contribute
All in all, I am confident the upcoming releases will bring pleasant suprises to everyone looking for web based frameworks for their leagues, even if the nice summer weather adds some time to the whole process. Have faith! We will be back with more news for all the users out there

Call for contributors
Here is a call for contributors to support further development of the FH Tools Online application. The following are potential sub projects that require different levels of PHP skills. I have made an assessment of how hard to realise something useful for each of the proposals
In addition, there are many other tasks which are more advanced tasks in the pipeline. Some are related to the import and export of data to support simulating the games. Some are related to Free Agency, waiver rules, relationship between leagues, staff and coaches, finances and more. The only limitation is the imagination of the contributors. The framework is there, and as it is Open Source, everything is done by the community, for the community!
Contact fh_tools(at)kodapa(dot)com to start discussing what your contribution will be!
- Translation and creation of additional language files. Very Easy
- Creation of FH Tools specific Themes/Skins. Easy

- Installing and testing FH Tools Online to provide feedback and bug reporting. Can be done both locally and on your server. Very Easy

FH Tools Online version 0.0.1 released
I am happy to announce the first release of FH Tools version 0.0.1. It is available by visiting the Download page which is in turn located at Sourceforge. Please note that this is a very early release, and functionality is limited to the introduction of User Roles (Commissioner and General Manager), creation of leagues and importing of DRS and ROS files for those leagues. Once that is done, you can assign your registerred users to teams as GM's
Check the documentation for details, and feel free to discuss and give feedback at the forums of this site
Please make sure to actually read and understand the installation procedure before asking for help. You need to have e107 installed before installing FH Tools Online

FH Tools Online to have support for multi language settings
Based on the large part of the fantasy hockey community that have another language than English as their native language, FH Tools Online will offer the possibility to define the online environment in other languages. This is made possible by the versatility in the e107 CMS framework
Since FH Tools Online is developed in English, it will still require that one or more interested persons step forward to build the needed language files for any additional languages. This is not very complicated and does not require any skills in coding. If you are interested in helping out, contact fh_tools(at)kodapa(dot)com

To provide documentation and information, mainly, about FH Tools Online, you can now find a steadily growing Wiki at the FH Tools Sourceforge project site. The wiki will contain all you need to know about FH Tools Online when it comes to installing, running, managing your league, making adaptations or participating in the development of FH Tools
Currently, only developers have write access to the wiki to ensure the correctness of the information. Questions and discussions should be kept at the forums on this site
Please also note that the old FHL Tools site have now been fully migrated to this site, and all downloads have moved to Sourceforge
